 You wouldn't believe it but today I came across some old school pokemon cards on a flea market! I had all of them except for one, a Zapdos PROMO Card #23. Only cost me 10p too! I already have the first 4 pokemon sets complete: base, jungle, fossil and rocket. Had them since the early 2000s. |

I played it on PC, faking the location. Got banned, so I gave up. But what I did play of it was addictive, but that was way back when it first began, there wasn't even a Ditto in the game back then!

My first one was Tangela from the Base set. I didn't get it through ordinary means either. It was a faced down "mystery" card in a 2p coin pusher machine at an arcade along the coast, this was back in the early 2000s/late 90s.
As for the anime, I caught a glimpse of "Pokemon Journeys" recently. It was an episode that spent 90% of its time in some house nursing a pigeon pokemon back to health. Gone are the adventure and fun of the older episodes. Fucking yikes to that. I'll stick to the old school stuff.

I think I stop watching the anime after Pokemon Advanced Generation. It just got really repetitive. Ash is still 10-years-old and trying to be a Pokemon master. -_-

Yeah, in fact in Pokemon Journeys Ash looks even younger than he did in the older episodes/seasons. How the fuck do you age backwards? I want to know damn it!  Absolutely no character progression after all these years. This is why I appreciate the "All Grown Up" series, which is essentially the characters from the show "Rugrats" but they've actually aged and we're moving forward with them. If they ever do a series like that with Pokemon where Ash is older and he becomes the Pokemon master he set out to be in the 1990s then they might just pull me back in entirely. |

See, I don't like All Grown Up. I get the appeal, but it's a mistake. In fact, only the first seasons of Rugrats were truly funny. Probably because one of the original creators left back in the mid 90s. He actually understood humor, while the co-creator wanted to make it more family-friendly. But anyway, yeah. Want to see Ash grow the fuck up.

Shows sometimes change to accomodate for new shows popping up stealing the viewers away to keep up with the competition. But I prefer shows like Ed, Edd 'N' Eddy where they stick to their guns and don't change anything regardless of the passage of time. Gotta give those kinda shows credit for having the balls not to pander to anyone or anything.

Yeah I'm an Ed, Edd, n Eddy fan as well. Another show that has been consistent for years is It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. That show doesn't get enough credit for still being the same show since 2005.

Only really like the first movie (Japanese Version). Besides that, not really into Pokemon.
Always preferred Digimon.

I used to like Yu Gi Oh, but my interest faded on it pretty quickly. The Last thing I watched of it was the Pyramid of Light movie. Pokemon I still go back and revisit, at least the older Pokemon stuff before it got out of hand (Beyond Pokemon Platinum).
