I believe it could also probably help find cures for diseases a well. Cures for dementia, cancer etc. It just has to be used as a tool to help others.
But it feels like people are mostly concerned with AI replacing art/movies/writers. But that's not even a fault of AI, that's just people utilizing the tool for those things. It's like blaming the gun for kiling someone when it's the shooter that's the main culprit.

The people behind those particular AI tools are to blame, absolutely. Although even DeviantART I heard implemented their own AI image generator.. so even DeviantART itself seems to be against artists.

That and the increase of thots on the site has had me looking else were to showcase my art. Newgrounds has an incredibly hard stance against AI art, so that's a great thing. |

It's all about how AI is utilized as a tool.
Quite a lot of people would percieve AI as the problem, but in actual fact it is the people behind it using the AI for these specific purposes that are the real problem. But then, humans are always the fucking problem. Nothing new there.

I never had anything against AI per se. I know it's the humans. Businessmen and scientists are acting like they do in the movies, when they are suppose to be smarter than that.

It's the same thing with automation. Capitalism and greed is going to destroy us if something isn't done.
We've already had jobs being taken away from people due to automation, self serving checkouts in stores etc. Even manufacturing companies use robots for precise labour/work with little breaks and less money spent on giving people wages.
If things continue, and AI devalues the work of original artists/creators to the point they can't even get paid for that, and automation continues to grow all in the name of saving that extra buck making the rich even richer.. then people won't be able to afford to live if they can't get pay for anything when robots/technology is already in place.
Sometimes advancing technology isn't always good for everyone, and is better left alone. Driverless cars and electric cars would be next.. so taxi drivers/delivery people will be out of a job too, probably public transport, trains, buses etc all automated. Add to that more greed and capitalism, increasing the price of products and increasing the bills you have to pay just to be able to use electricity/water and to buy food, it's going to be a nightmare, all created by humans because greed/advances in technology used in the wrong ways.
