Okay, even if you guys don't think AI will replace humans, here's the thing, where do you draw the line in advancing AI!? That's the scary part. Not afriad of AI at all. What bothers me is, you guys are suppose to be fucking scientists. Yet, make cliche stereotypical mistakes that scientists usually do in movies.

AI is replacing humans. Amazon have already confirmed they'll be using humanoid robots to free up their own staff, so they are already taking jobs away from humans. Pretty soon it'll get to a point where people won't be able to get a job because a robot is already doing it.
Advancements in technology aren't always good. This might change the economy as we currently know it.

If AI replaces humans, then so be it. What REALLY bothers me is scientists are so full of themselves taking about how great AI is advancing, but not talk about where does that leave us humans. Thus...  |

Thing is people are already struggling to find jobs in order to save up money to get through life, and this only makes it so much more difficult. Except for the owners of the company. Dollar signs in their eyes blind them from all else.

I was at a conference earlier this month. AI has become the topic. Education is going to become difficult, when students start using Chatgpt to write their papers.

I'm starting to wonder if the anime Bubblegum Crisis actually predicted the future a bit. In the dub at least, between the years 2027 and 2033 there's a cost of living crisis mentioned, which we happen to have right now, and on top of that the main focus of the anime is that robots have been created to help humanity and have been brought to life with A.I. with different companies developing different types of A.I. resulting in more realistic human like behavior. Of course, they go rogue and faulty and that's the point of the show. But the show is also quite ruthless with depicting how company owners/executives operate and how they continue to create better A.I. programs and better robots, only leading to more destruction.
Well, it's all rather dramatized in the anime of course, but still. They even almost nailed the date of robots too.

With all the movies, tv shows, books, video games and what not made about the future, well the law of averages would mean that someone would get something right about the future. |
