TASM2 Untold Finale Edition makes it a 9/10 movie.
Not even joking.

Also I've been hearing that the Hybrid Cut of NeverEnding Story is better than the original. I'll probably check that out soon.

Hybrid Cut is good, but it's changed a few things I personally prefer were not.
They took away the awesome opening credits and replaced it with plain black credits (although I do prefer the German credit music over the Limahl song). I would personally have it so the German credit music plays to the international credit visuals and sync up the timing.
Only other gripe I had was when Atreyu first sets off on his quest on his horse. In the international version the music is quite "fast" paced but not too fast and the violins are higher in octave which makes it better IMO, but in this Hybrid cut they seem to have opted for the German scoring where the music isn't as upbeat and feels wrong.
It's definitely better than the "original" for 95% of the movie. But there's just those things I mentioned that stop it being perfect for me. Has the best picture quality out of all other versions of the film though.
Out of 5 I'd give it a 4.

I'm working with the guy who made the Hybrid Cut to make a complete International Cut. So that will probably exist eventually. I've just now got the remaining files sorted from my side of things. Rest is up to the other dude now.

Since my last post I discovered a shot from the original theatrical trailer that doesn't exist in any version of the film and was later removed from remastered versions of the theatrical trailer. Luckily the trailer with the rare shot was uploaded to Youtube as a 35mm 2K video (1440p). So as part of these fan edits, I remastered it myself. I had to first upscale the video to 4K, which then made downscaling to 1080p have it gain quality (decreasing image sizes increases quality). As a result, I modified every single individual frame to remove blemishes and pixelation and add more HD detail. This is the final result (sharing this little preview early since it's basically all my own work) : www.mediafire.com/file/qqgwh1vwczn5azn/Auryn.7z/fileWould appreciate any/all feedback/comments on this. If you'd like to see the original shot for reference (and what source I had to work with) you can find that here: The clip itself is at about 37 seconds into the trailer.

Sorry, but these generally aren't my expertise... I have skimmed through some fan edits of the Kenobi series that trim it down to 2.5-ish hours, which do improve the pacing somewhat and remove some of the extraneous crap.
