Not a big fan of Aladdin (2019). Felt too much like a Broadway show. Wanted the grit and scale from the animated version. But the live-action version felt cheap. I fear the same for Hercules.
“The underrating and overrating are the same kind of reactions. The people who are saying ‘It's nothing; it's junk food for the mind,’ are reacting against the people who are saying ‘This is the greatest thing since popcorn!’ Both of them are wrong. It's just a movie. You watch it and you enjoy it.”
—George Lucas
BTW, Hailee Steinfeld will always be a piece of scum LMAO
I felt the 2019 Aladdin was soulless and on top of that wasn't good because you just can't top Robin Williams. Hercules I never watched all that much, so I might actually enjoy a live-action version, provided they don't push any agenda like they have with the new Pinocchio remake.

I mean, I have no idea why, but a few weeks ago I was having a feeling this might take place in modern day. Rumors don't say that, I just have a feeling.

That's just going to make it worse. Like bleach and salt on an open wound.
WTF does Hercules has anything to do with TikTok!?!?
What did Hercules have to do with any of the music in the animated movie? People need to learn to not expect anything and know when you are not the target audience.

That's different. It's a Disney movie. Of course it will have music.

It's not different. They mention Tiktok and people got an image in their mind of what that is. It needs context.

Yeah that's what I mean. Tiktok is not as obvious as music. My only theory is that this Hercules takes place on modern day and Tiktok makes Hercules into a internet celebrity.

Or the movie takes place in the past and they have some form of tiktok.

Okay, Russo's quote may have been taken out of context. I THINK he meant that the music scenes will take a more TikTok formula approach. Implying that the music won't be heavy handed like in the original. Which Disney has done before with The Lion King and Mulan.

That is possibly. Things need to slow down a bit, and people need to stop reacting to things so quickly.
