I am not sure movies can really be ruined for me. I mean, not in the sense of me enjoying a film and something happens that makes me have a different view of the movie. Like Kevin Spacey has been charged with sexually assaulting men/boys but I still enjoy movies that he stars in.
Now movies can be ruined right out of the gate if it's not made in a way that entertains me or I find enjoyable. The passing of time can also change how I see films too. For example, in the past I really liked Hocus Pocus and The Little Vampire, but upon recent re-watches they no longer have whatever charm they had over me before, and I don't find them enjoyable anymore, instead I find them a chore to sit through and rather not watch them ever again.
So depending on the criteria depends on what movies I can mention. So far the two examples I've used above can act as my entries.

Like I said in the other thread, Kevin Spacey plays bad guys anyway. So he's basically playing as himself in these movies. Where as an actor, for example, is a pedophile playing a good guy. That's EXTREMELY difficult.

When it comes to an actors behavior I can separate the art from the artist. Like the actor who plays Lucas in The Wizard. He ended up doing something terrible (which I won't say here, but you can look it up if you're curious). I still enjoy The Wizard and find it a very charming and heartfelt movie.

Holy shit! Didn't know that about Lucas. Want to make a Powerglove joke, but better not.

Yeah it wasn't good at all. Looking the actors name up there really isn't much info on what he did but IIRC it involved a child under the age of 1. Or maybe under the age of 2.

I can't watch anything by Roman Polanski, full well know what he did to that kid, how bragged about it and how a lot of Hollywood loves to stick up for him. We all know Hollywood has lot of those sick fucks.
