MTTSH may have revealed the villain or one of the villains anyway for the sequel. Not sure how that character will fit within the tone Matt Reeves established in the first movie.

I don't think it is official, though I could be wrong. Also looks like Deadline revealed the villain back in March. So it is not really a spoiler I guess.

One way to make the character in spoilers more realistic would be to have a suit/costume/mask made out of that material. Although I don't quite know how the powers would be translated without going fantastical.

Not to mention, DCAU's Clayface is the most popular verision of the character. So much so that the comics incorporated that version into "canon" now instead of his golden age counter parts. So fans are going to have certain expectations when it comes to the character.

If I can handle their version of Riddler and Penguin I'm sure other characters will be alright. We'll see anyhow.

KC Walsh hints that we may see Clayface in The Penguin Max series. Meaning, he might have been already cast. So one of the actors on the cast list might possibly be him.
