Never used it myself, but seems it will become a streaming service.

I'm a physical media guy, but even I knew Redbox was on life-support years ago. It was basically like a mini-Blockbuster. I'm really nostalgic about Blockbuster and all, but most people already accepted streaming to be the go-to to rent movies. Even if you are a physical media guy, you rather just buy the movie physically. So Redbox is not attracting either the streaming nor physical media fans.

Blockbuster served the time period it was part of. Now these sort of Physical Media services just aren't necessary anymore. It wasn't just streaming that killed it, it's online shopping too. No need to visit a physical store for nostalgia's sake when you can simply order what you want online and it will be delivered to your home.

I kinda agree, but at the same time Suncoast was freaking tits of a video store. Damn, I miss that store. It was more than just a video store. It had cool collectable shit. Lot of awesome Gundam stuff too. I even had a Gundam calendar.

Yeah I miss the big variety stores like Suncoast and Virgin. I'm getting to where I really dislike Amazon but we've shot ourselves in the foot and now most stores are gone.

Yeah there's almost no place to go anymore. Blockbuster is gone, arcades are basically gone, movie theaters were at risk for a minute there. I don't know. As a tech guy, think we got to stop relying that much on technology. Even me and my fellow web developers are concerned about A.Is because they can take over our jobs in the future. I know that sounds like science fiction, but we live in a world where Shatner and Cruise go to space.

Well, there's always used bookstores like Half Price Books.......
Wonder what this means for the Redbox kiosk at the Raley's family goes to often for groceries.

The only places I can get older stuff now like VHS tapes and older videogame cartridges is through exchange stores and flea markets. Here in the UK we have a store called CeX and you can trade your items in for money, sort of like a pawn shop but for cool shit.
