They are running out of ideas too. They are in a naked situation again.

The trouble with the longevity of some shows is that over time they get diluted; they ultimately become a shadow of what it once was never again able to truly achieve the greatness it originally had.
I'll use one example of a show I used to watch: Fairly Odd Parents. For the first lot of seasons it was great; it had humor I liked and they didn't try to change. Then on the season before the final season they decided to introduce a new character, a young fish baby that was meant to be the child of the fairy god parents of Timmy Turner, who wished the child into existence.
Bear in mind that the show had previously set up this inevitable rule that once a child with fairy god parents reaches the age of 17, they forget all about their fairy god parents and every single one of their wishes becomes undone, so that would include the new child (so it was really a really dumb idea to have the child wished into existence because it is essentially fake). I found out that this inclusion of the character was due to studio interference of the show to try to keep it "current". Needless to say it didn't work, and made the show worse going into the final season..
The final season was a complete assassination of the show from studio interference. The intro music had completely changed, brand new characters were shoehorned into the show out of nowhere with little to no build-up at all and was nothing like it originally was. At least they had the sense to stop after that season. Part of me wonders if the creators/writers intentionally made it worse to fail even harder because they knew the studio was trying to micro-manage them behind the scenes telling them how episodes should be, or if the changes were legitimately all from the studio and the creators merely complied neutrally.
However, some shows manage to keep things going right until the end. An example would be Ed, Edd, 'n Eddy. That was a show that didn't change or try to introduce new characters. It worked with what it had, so I have to respect shows that stick to their guns and go out doing what it does best, not living on long enough to see it become a shadow of itself.

By the end Ed, Edd,n Eddy did introduced Eddy's brother though.

That was the movie that came after the series, titled Ed, Edd n Eddy's Big Picture Show where the Brother is introduced. Granted it is considered a "finale" to the series, however it is still a movie, and not merely another episode.

Had a feeling it was a "movie", due to the brother character feeling out of place. But felt too much like the show at the same time.

Exactly, even in a movie they barely changed anything up. Gotta admire that.

Not interested. How about redrawn/remastered episodes from the 90's? Bring them back with animation of the latest episodes. The audio is already there and done.

No idea. I know some guy is remastering The Simpsons Hit & Run game and has redrawn all the cutscenes like the show, but that's about the extent of it for my perspective.

Doesn't look like the official art style of the newer Simpsons shows. Perhaps the Delgato guy working on the Hit & Run game can use his animation skills to remaster the old episodes to look like the new ones, perhaps after he finally finishes the game remaster project.
