Well duh. We knew once the multiverse had been opened up in Loki that multiversal shenanigans would begin, and it did. What's he going to confirm next, that water is wet?

Yeah Marvel is not consistent with their multiverse rules. Like the multiverse rules in No Way Home are different than they were in Loki. Doctor Strange 2 doesn't look like it will answer those questions either.

Why the fuck are people starting to call the MCU the "616" universe? It's actually the Earth-199999 universe. -_- I get it, that universe has the most draw, but it's still incorrect. If you consider it the 616 universe, then fine. Just be consistent. Marvel fans seem to contradict themselves a lot. Don't want to be that asshole to get into semantics and whatnot. But the next person that says it's the 616 universe, then I'll have to correct them.

Because MoM establishes that Dr. Strange from the events of NWH and prior is the "616" universe. That could be the reason why people might be saying that. I don't really care either way.

Did not that number come from Kevin Feigeβs joke that Marvel Studios plans for the series of movies to run for 199999 years. So if no one ever confirmed that number, why is the 616 now and issue?

No, I get that. Doctor Strange 2 seems to be the movie where people consider the MCU the main universe. Which is fair, but again, contradictions. If Chavez is from the multiverse, can we really call her an MCU character? By that logic, every Marvel character is from the MCU. Hell, Feige even said it himself that 20 years of Marvel is canon. Basically spoiling things in his own way. The comics even acknowledge the MCU, but knows it's in it's own universe.

It's their way of saying that the MCU is their main universe. But as the more multiverse shenanigans happens, the more contradictions there are.
