I was at the shops today and that a regular deluxe Transformer figure coasts about 25 quid, right next to was the new toys for Godzilla X Kong. The 7 inch figures for that where £13. I thought to myself that I could buy two of those for the price of one Transformer.

I had my first Godzilla figure back in 1998.

Do action figures coast too much now? I think ten to twelve quid is very reasonable for one that's aimed at kids, anything more than just feels greedy. Keep in mind that I'm talking about kids toy action figures. The whole mid to high collector oriented action figure market is a different matter.

I had this thought once. I know the more "adult" figures cost a lot more, that is for sure.

Yes, but it is because cost of materials are up across the board.

Yes, but it is because cost of materials are up across the board. True, remember what I said at the start of the thread. The big price gap between Hasbro and Playmates. A single deluxe class Transformer costing £24.99 while one from Godzilla X Kong toyline is £12.99. Both are the same size and have the same amount of cardboard packaging. So, one toy for £25 or two for the same price. On a related note, Hasbro lost $1 billion over Christmas and is looking to cut costs by $750 million. www.msn.com/en-us/money/companies/hasbro-reports-20-revenue-drop-issues-downbeat-2024-outlook/ar-BB1idhEv

I remember having this as a kid as well. Always loved that it was a mixture of the original comics and 80s cartoon show.
