Remember the Elsagate scandal, with creepy videos aimed at children. That is still going on, and is only one part of a bigger problem. Mainly, parents sticking ipads into front of their children's faces nearly 24/7. Perverts and unscrupulous businessmen have taken full advantage of this, and have worped children's minds. This guy's video on the subject explains this troubling subject much better.
And yes, we don't know what the long term ramifications of this going to be. I feel like we just need to look at Tiktok to see the effects of over exposure to the internet has done to young people. There's a dam good reason why that platform is called the mental illness factory.

Most people I notice casually, they are on their phones, mostly during times where someone would have to wait, such as a dentist waiting room for example. Of course prior to phones people tended to read the magazines provided on the waiting room table. I suppose I look weird to them because I don't have a phone so if they ever break their attention away from their phone and see me they might think I get bored or that how could someone manage without a distraction.
There seems to be an addiction there, one that only folks not addicted to phones can actually see. Add that to the content people put on the internet, which people browse on their phones and how kosher that content is. Although everyone who doesn't use a phone will eventually die off and everyone in existence will probably fall on this addiction with the inability to see it or remedy it.

Phone addiction is a terrible thing. I've seen way too much of it, every time I take the bus there is always some young parent sticking a phone in front of their baby's face. I do mean baby, still in the buggy and not being able to speak. That sort of thing is going to screw up the kid. I honestly feel that is why so many children right now are getting diagnosed with ADHD.

Unfortunately, it feels like I am in a minority that isn't constantly glued to a phone when going out.

Unfortunately, it feels like I am in a minority that isn't constantly glued to a phone when going out. I only use my phone to calls, texts and keep track of my Blu-ray/DVD collection. most of the time, I only used when I have to, the rest of the time it's lying somewhere around the house.

Even in places like McDonalds, they have iPads built into the tables for kids to play on. Granted, these are only loaded with puzzles/kids games though. Still doesn't help to give kids a break from staring at screens all the time.

Yeah it is kinda scary. I mean, I'm a tech guy, but didn't start using the internet or devices until I was like 12 or 13. So not really sure how Gen Alpha will behave when they become adults.

Given how some people of our generation and one just after ours, I'm terrified. Gen Alpha sounds like it is going to be a very introverted generation. Because of the internet, there is very little places to go now. Hell, I struggle going out myself. Can't imagine how the future will be. Dating sites have to be the norm. Though, not really be on dating sites. Usually fall in love by bonding, not looks.

I have a few thoughts on what this video showed. That mother dancing right next to the ventilation machine helping her sick baby, is one of the saddest things I've ever seen.
People making kids content on YouTube, all of them need be looked into. We know there's predators that use this to groom and brainwash kids. People like the Paul Brothers, who use the young audience as means to get rich by shilling garbage and promoting scams. Then there's that hyper active shit that's just constant screaming, running and flashing lights. God knows how many kids they've ruined.
The make up influencers, they need to be held to account for what they are doing to children. Saying that, I feel that they're just part of a bigger problem. The sexualization of children.

Yeah never been a fan content targeting at children. Too many weirdos, whether it is intentional or not. I know there are those that genuinelly try to keep it clean as possibe, but it is usually the ones who set a bad example and misbehave that get the most views usually. Also I dislike fake people, and children are easy to manipulate. While us adults know better and look out for red flags.

Well, you think that adults spot fake people, but some people are still defending The Completionist after its been proved that he was committing charity fraud for a decade.

It's good to see more people calling out weird crap and it effects children.

It's true. American kids started to develop British accents after watching Peppa Pig. Even I also had a certain slang when I was a kid from listening to rap and where I grew up at (couldn't help it, it was the 90s). As I got older, I wized up and completely dropped the stupid slang. Now I speak in a very neutral American accent.
