Seems plausible. Mostly because it defies my method for weeding out fake shit.

My method for deciding whether what I'm seeing is genuine or not is simply to make myself come up with a plausible simple reason why the person behind the camera is filming in the first place. If I can't come up with one, the video is most likely fake.

Ghost videos etc. Cameras are automatically set up to be focused on the spot where whatever is going to happen will happen, so it has a staged feel to it.

Security cameras, it's similar. You've got a camera you know is always on at a certain spot so all you've got to do is show up where it's pointing and make your act as if you're on a TV Show. I don't particularly trust security camera footage.


I'll give an example: I saw a video of a guy recording his young daughter walking through a park at night, and she walks past a tree in the foreground. Behind her the entire time is some sort of shadow figure which just seems like a guy in black clothes, and when the girl walks past the tree, feet and hands come out then go back behind the tree, clearly someone standing behind the tree.

However, I simply question why the fuck is a grown ass man recording his daughter walking alone from the bushes in a park at night? Nobody does that, it's fucking weird all by itself. Hence fake. A reasonable context cannot be made for why the cameraman has his camera out to "accidentally" capture footage of weird shit.

But this video, the train is slow enough to give the guy time to pull out his camera and record from the train. You've got the chance for multiple witnesses as well.

The only thing that sticks out as a potential "tell" is that the video itself is too clean.. no reflection or shiny effect from the glass of the train window, you don't even see the window sill or the interior of the train even slightly off screen. Of course he could be zoomed in, even so. But if multiple people saw it and can vouch for the footage and the train voyage, then it's probably legit footage, but we could still be looking at a homeless man gone to take a shit.
