Interesting. The Flash had a scene saving a baby from death. Guess Aquaman needs to kill one off to market the movie. I mean, why not, they've got an abuser as part of the cast.

Because the movie couldn't possibly alter the storyline so the baby doesn't die, because comic book movies don't change anything from the source material do they? /s
All I'm saying is, it's possible they've changed stuff, it happens with movies. Going all in and doubling down on the "kid's gonna fucking die" thing is a bit premature IMHO.

Hard to tell because CanWeGetSomeToast is a scooper, so I don't know if he is saying this because it happened in the comics, or if he knows something we don't know. Also this movie has gone through reshoots AFTER the bad test screens. So for all we know, they have improved the movie and changed the baby's fate.

Bad test screening could be from baby death, it's entirely possible, and as such have altered that. Since it's all rumor anyway it could ALL be entirely wrong, so trying so hard to make something a fact ain't gonna cut it until we get confirmation of any kind.
So far the most tangible evidence is what you've just said regarding bad test screenings. Could be the did kill off the baby and that caused negative feedback leading to that possibly getting changed.
Logic over scoopers, always.

From what I gather on Twitter/X, it is not the baby's death per se. It has more to do with the movie having a Thor: Love and Thunder vibes to it, judging from the trailer anyway. So the potential baby death scene would feel so out of place.

To be fair the trailer looked like more of the awesome stuff from the first Aquaman movie. So I don't think it would be that. It'll be interesting to get definitive evidence to the correct answer regarding the child.

I hope that they have the balls to going through with Black Mantra killing Aquaman's son.

Execution is key. It is one of the reasons why I find Thor: Ragnorok a bit overrated. So many people die in that movie. Thor developed PTSD afterwards. Yet, they threat the whole thing like a fucking joke. "It's a fun movie" "It's a fun movie" "It's a fun movie". Yeah, a fun movie about tragedy. Get fuck'd.

The complete tonal whiplash that plagued Ragnorok putts me off from watching it again.

At least Ragnarok has a large section that takes place on a wacky planet, so the comedy there makes sense. I loved that movie for a while but the terrible Love and Thunder kinda dilutes it for me, which is such a shame.

I don't dislike Ragnorok. It's just that Ragnorok is a movie that is all over the place. It tries to be an epic fantasy, then it tries to be a sci-fi adventure, then you throw in Hulk into the mythos all while dealing with tragedy and throwing in as many corny jokes as possible.

Nothing has changed since the test screenings?

Then what the hell were the reshoots for then?

Could be that the person leaking stuff without proof is wrong. It's all rumor and subjective opinions anyway, and even when the movie releases the only people who could confirm it hasn't changed would be those who saw the test screenings.
