Everyone wanting to buy a Nintendo Switch 2, meanwhile I'm trying to sell stuff on a flea market so I can buy myself a custom backlit Nintendo Gameboy Color. I just have zero interest in the newer consoles beyond PS3.

I'm on the same boat. Perfectly content with my PS4 and gaming laptop. Buying a new console just doesn't make sense to me anymore. Instead of buying, lets say a PS5 and $80 dollar game for it, I could buy like 15 or 20 games on my PS4 or steam instead.

This is the console I am saving up for:  Gameboy Color, with upgraded larger IPS Screen, Backlit, and the shell, buttons and screen border colors of the original 1989 Gameboy. Once I have that I won't need any other Gameboy, since I never really cared for Gameboy Advance (aside from maybe the Sonic Advance games which I did play in the past). Blows the Switch 2 out of the water already for me. |

So this coming Sunday I will be running a flea market stall. I need to make back Β£10 for the stall charge, then I need to make Β£160. So if I make Β£170 on Sunday, I will be placing my order on that backlit Gameboy and should have it next week. If I only make Β£140 or Β£150 I'll still probably order it. The console itself will cost me Β£160 so if the profits from the stall make it so I only have to pay Β£20-Β£30 extra then That'll be just fine. Either way, Sunday will be the deciding day for that purchase.

So the rain never appeared, as such I was able to set up my stall. I managed to make back the stall fee and wound up only Β£17 shy of the Β£160 I need for my new Gameboy. So I will just put the rest to it. Will have to go to the bank to deposit the cash before I buy one, maybe sometime during the next week. Once I order it I'll post it in the latest purchases thread anyway.

I don't know. Ever since E3 is no longer around it because a bit more difficult following gaming news. IGN hasn't been all that active with gamings news either.

I don't know. Ever since E3 is no longer around it because a bit more difficult following gaming news. IGN hasn't been all that active with gamings news either. IGN hasn't been bothered about games in a very long time. I've haven't been following game news for a just as long, but I do keep my eye on some YouTube channels that cover it. |

IGN hasn't been bothered about games in a very long time. I've haven't been following game news for a just as long, but I do keep my eye on some YouTube channels that cover it. Yeah I still follow the gaming community, even though that is not all that active either like it use to be, but me personally I game casually now (casually compare to my old high school self anyway). So I just rely on word of mouth instead of news. |

True, 20-30 quid is what I'm willing spend on a game. Not, 60-70. That's way too much for something that in all likelyhood is going to be a broken mess filled to the brim with micro transactions. Most games, I play now, I get on sale. |
