Ok, which one? The Mad Ghould? The Leech Woman?
More importantly, as I haven't seen the new Scream, are these two any good?

Looks like that is the case: Yeah nothing says a vampire film with strong lesbian overtones for its time like a horror version of Home Alone with lame-ass "HIP AND COOL" referential jokes.

No wonder they dropped the whole "based on Dracula's Daughter" aspect with the press releases.

Kinda ironic that I made this thread considering I haven't been following this movie at all. Now that I know this is Dracula related, I'm now 100% interested.

This was pretty enjoyable. It's tense and gripping throughout (but doesn't overdo the jump scares, they're fairly predictable which I'm OK with), it can be appropriately funny without disrupting tension, and the characters walk a fine line and have an edge to them while still remaining likable enough. Dan Stevens plays a more interesting character than the caricature of sorts that he played in GxK (the guy has range!), and Kathryn Newton who was probably the worst character in Quantumania, gets to be likable here. Alisha Weir also nails the titular role, she can be funny when needed and is a very intimidating presence when needed. It has all the blood and gore that one could possibly want (not for the squeamish!), it also had a pretty aggressive sound mix at times. This is not so much the movie's fault as it is the marketing, and I get that they sort of had to reveal the Vampire angle in marketing, but knowing that going in lessened the first act's potential impact. It's also a bit predictable, early on it's fairly obvious that Joey is going to be the sole survivor from the group. All in all though, I liked Scream VI a bit more than this, but this is another bloody good time from Radio Silence. 7.5/10 (rounded up to 4 in the poll)

Well saw it......and yeah, has nothing to do with the original Dracula's Daughter.
It was pretty decent however. Weir was great as Abigail and Barrera along with Stevens shined in the roles. But the film starts to lose focus by the end and dumps whatever gothic horror it had to turn into Morbius of all films for it's climax. Also, this film's Dracula was terrible (could say Asylum-level but their Drac in Monster Mash was way better than this Sleepy Hollow Horseman from Temu).
7/10

Yeah I figured it hasn't nothing to do with original Dracula's Daughter since she has a different name in that. I had a feeling this wasn't going to be all that gothic horror when they compared it to The Lost Boys. I like the The Lost Boys as a cheesy 80s movie, but it is not what I want to see in a vampire movie.
As for Dracula, I like that actor they gotten, but I have yet to see how the directors executed. We'll wait and see.
