Last night I tried to film on my region free blu-ray player and it wouldn't recognised the disc. I've had her since 2017 and she works like a dream. It's just the now, that she's started to give me trouble. I've tried to play new Tiger Cage box set from 88 Films and she wouldn't recognised the disc. I tried again with the 88Films Drive release, didn't work. Thinking that it might be the discs, I went and tried them down stairs. They worked fine. I've tried two more discs on her and had no problems.
I've just tried to see if the software need updating, well I can't see if she needs an update because she can't connect to the internet. Her setting are set to wired instead of wireless and I can't get to change.
The make and model is a Sony BDP-S3700/BDP-S1700 that's been modified to a region free player. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

I'm not an expert on these matters. However, if it was me, I'd do the following:
1) Research online the make and model, find someone who has made a tutorial and figure out how to change the internet setting on it in order to update it.
2) That failing, I'd find a tutorial/method of converting a wired internet connection to a wireless one in order to update.
3) If Parts 1 and 2 fail, I'd do more research on finding a place where a professional can take a look at it and fix the issues it has.
4) If it can't be fixed and can't update/won't work after update, I'd simply sell it and use that money towards buying a new/working region free player.
That's pretty much my angle on it.

I've mostly stuck to YouTube, but I think something like Blu-ray.com might be a better help.

How do I download music from Youtube and Amazon? I'm asking as I going to be facing a few days of no Internet access and I would like to listen to music and podcast that don't have CDs.
