Something is going to happen with DC comics. Possible a line wide reboot, or an attempt to license the characters.

Because of years of declining sales due to keeping on terrible writes who keep forcing their one sided opinions into the comics as insulting and bullying customers and co-workers who dare disagree with them. Then there's the fact keep chasing trends and failing measurable at them. Their young adult books are terrible and they have Batman teaming up a professional gaming team. It's no wonder that this month DC didn't have any books in the top 100 sales charts. This the first time that has ever happened. It's not looking good for DC, I've heard that some creators have not been getting their royalty checks.

More thoughts on this. If DC gets closed down or licensed out, it won't be to be long after that Disney would do the same thing to Marvel. They've tried that with IDW with those Marvel Adventure comics a few years ago.
If DC is licensed out, will it be as one big package of spit up? And to who? A few months ago, I heard rumours that Robert Kirkman and few others big indie comic guys where pulling together to license the publishing rights for DC.

Yes but only partly. This rumors kicked up just before covid. Both Marvel and DC are draining the comic world dry.

I got into the DC when the New 52 started, that got me into Aquaman. But I do admit that had its problems.

Which is also worse when most of your customers are long term readers.

And the complete flip flopping on continuity, spoiling events before the dam things come out and that every time they try to fix things it just makes it even more confusing with Hypertime, the Multiverse, the dark Multiverse and omniverse.

And if movies copy them, they'll be just as messy.

And if movies copy them, they'll be just as messy. It is pretty weird that they were able to make a mess of things even with so few movies.

That would owe credit to WB, Weird Brothers.

New numbers one, Legacy Numbering, New Number Ones, Legacy Numbering. Marvel is incredible guilt of that as well. I've lost track of how many Amazing Spider-man number ones there are now, it's like nine.
