The Patrick Swayze version is one of my favorite movies ever, so this naturally comes as a fucking awful idea to me. BUT, the Patrick Swayze version does have music that never got an official release that I'd love to have, so perhaps this remake can get those older music tracks released.

Exactly, that scene alone is great. Wonder if the remake will try to copy it.

All I know about this film is the constant references to it in MST3K Santa Claus Conquers The Martians.

WHY? they'll never capture the magic of the original. That had Patrick Swayze, Sam Elliott, Keith David and Terry Funk. None of the new cast is cool as those guys.

Hollywood still haven't got the balls to remake 1927's Metropolis yet.

They haven't touched it in all these years, I think we're safe on that one. Right now they seem to be stuck on remaking shit from the 70s and 80s. They've still got to reach back to the 60s through to the 30s yet.

RT being used as the main basis for finding out if a movie is great or not, might as well use your fingernails to measure the lengh of a mobile phone instead of a ruler. Road House is great without that website even existing.
I find Google to be more reliable with it. "82% liked this film" for Road House.

Trying use statistics to determine whether a movie is good or not, is fucking stupid. Movies should be measured on how much enjoyment you get from it, how it makes you feel and quality of the production.
Granted, the first two are very subjective. The later is not, but the first two can make up for this.
