Yep. Pretty much been doing that myself lately. Been digging into hobbies and movies and TV Shows, all the good stuff. Have to say it feels good to not have that shadow over you of media trying to make you feel how they want you to.

Hope it gets fixed, a region free player is a valuable asset.

The world seems to go more to shit as you get older. The curse of getting older is you see how retarded the majority of everyone else is.

Starting to get bummed out coming here every day catching up with everything. Didn't bother me at first, I just decided to stop doing it every day and decided to come here every other day, skipping a day inbetween days. Starting to feel like a chore, kinda hope that feeling goes away.

There's a really fucking dumb policy in one of the charity stores I visit. I am at my wits end with those morons but I'll explain what happened.

So a while back, I visited a charity store that sells DVDs. Now some DVDs are individually priced, and the rest are sold in bulk. The first time I noticed, they were selling bulk DVDs at 5 DVDs for £1. So, I looked and found a DVD I wanted (however I only wanted the one). So I went to the counter and asked how much the DVD was (naturally, I would assume 20p, 1 fifth of the £1 for 5, it is mathematical and logical sense).

To my amazement, I was told that a single DVD on its own is still £1. This really grinded on me a lot more than it should have since A) this particular store has never done this before, they've always let one through at 20p B) other charity stores still allow and follow the mathematical and logical sense of one being 20p and C) it literally makes zero fucking sense that you can have 5 DVDs for £1 or only 1 DVD for £1.

Naturally I felt like I was being ripped off/shafted and I asked why this was the case, and the person behind the counter rattled off some nonsense about company policy that never existed before (and was even stumbling their words like they were making that shit up right to my face). Added insult to injury however, was the person behind the store insisted that the DVDs are being sold "UP TO 5 for £1", not just "5 for £1". This was a blatant lie as the sign never included the words "Up to". I said "if you're going to lie to me and rip me off, at least go and add the words 'Up to' to the sign that is currently lacking it so you don't sound like a complete moron". Then I left the store.

I have since returned to the store and the person that flat out refused to sell me a DVD for 20p has never shown up again, however the policy has gotten even dumber over time. Upon returning, I noticed that they DID change the sign, except it doesn't say "Up to 5 for £1". They changed it to "15 for £1". The stupidy in these places are beyond my level of logical comprehension, and to make things even funnier yet infuriating, I had asked out of curiosity how much a DVD would be if I only wanted one single DVD out of the bulk being sold at "15 for £1" and they still said that a single DVD is still £1.

Might as well have a vacuum run the store since they are clearly trying to suck as much money as they can out of people with nonsense. I know charities exist to raise money which I'm all for but that doesn't give them the right to shaft customers in order to do so.
