He's a good director, but his writing has me concerned (obviously he didn't write Ragnarok)

Ragnarok is the only film he's directed where he had no involvement with the writing. However he's responsible for the writing in Thor 4.

He wrote Jojo Rabbit, and that film feels balanced. Also he isn't the only MCU director that likes to add too much humor. Whedon, Black, etc. There is a pattern here.

We'll see how it goes.

After Love and Thunder my enthusiasm has cooled a bit. I'll still definitely see it though.

You could say your enthusiasm was curbed.

I burnt out of Star Wars in general. Some fans say they got to stop making the universe smaller, but at the same time Disney is not steady with the spin-offs and side stories either. Okay, the Skywalker sage is "done". Can you build a new and more focused thread of storylines now? Mando is the closest, but that's a show and not a movie.

I liked the sequel trilogy even though TFA was the weakest IMHO. I also liked the Mando series and Boba Fett show, and the Kenobi series was OK as well. In all honesty the only Star Wars stuff I didn't much care for were the movies Solo and Rogue One. Other than that I look forward to more.

Don't like the sequel trilogy. Mainly because they feel too artificial and JJ doesn't have one creative bone in his body.

Opinions vary. And to each their own.

I miss the star war hype from 2015 before TFA released. The movie was definition of mid though, I saw it twice in theaters but once I got the Blu-Ray I was underwhelmed. Last Jedi had few good ideas and great cinematography, but again terrible execution and it didn't need the Canto Bight sequence at all. Now the less said about TRoS, the better. Idk how anyone can remotely consider themselves a Star Wars fan and enjoy this movie. Well unless you're a JJ stan like Spanky lol.

I found TFA boring, TLJ and TROS had that adventure element that I've loved since ROTJ. Those were entertaining. Only part I didn't care for was showing how the Empire irons its uniforms. The rest was entertaining. But of course, this is merely my subjective opinion.

Yeah that's what mean. For YEARS I wanted a sequel trilogy. Now that it's over I'm like, okay, now what. I didn't even like Rise of Palpati... I mean... Skywalker. So I'm in a awkward position with Star Wars. Love the franchise, but lost further interest. They have to create a new saga and create something truly great with a new movie in order for me to get back on board again.

Weird thing is, I don't even see people talking about the Sequel Trilogy anymore(well outside BRbore). I guess by the time TRoS released people were already kind of burnt out with these movies. The massive box office drop from last two movies shows that imo. Maybe they should have delayed it a bit and worked on the script, the actors still did fine with whatever they were given with though.

I used to talk about it but you've seen the Star Wars threads, it's just endless bickering and debate over the most tiny fucking details and it's just boring and not worth saying anything anymore.

What's fun talking about Star Wars is speculation. There is nothing to speculate anymore. If you want Star Wars fans speculating again, either create a new saga, or make Episode X.

It's probably even been debated of the sounds of the bowel movements Han Solo made when he was stabbed with Kylo's blade in TFA. Seriously, I wish I was joking. It's just fucking remedial at this point.

Talking about the sequels has been tiresome for a while, I've pretty much just moved on. They exist and that's about it.

I just enjoy them in silence at home, because if I mention it online there's always someone ready to shoot it down.
