Haven't finished the last movie I don't think. It's skippable, it honestly wasn't that great anyway.

Cartman decided to get his implants removed, and ManBearPig took out the Pi Pi guy and ran off, and he has a wife and kid now. I think that was it.

The season premiere was good! Thankfully it appears that normal Randy is finally back.

She should be honored that she's even in the show. The fact that she gets upset over humor she doesn't find funny speaks volumes.

4 episodes in and they still haven't missed a beat, probably the best season they've done since season 18-ish.

The last episode was kind of shit, but otherwise this was a really good season. Watch episodes 1-5 and ignore 6.

Well that was interesting. It's a parody of the whole Multiverse gimmick, they also sure let Kathleen Kennedy have it, LOL

So for someone who doesn't really care all that much about the show, but would have a very minimal amount of nostalgia for the show, what would be a good season to stop watching the show if I started it from the first season? I was thinking perhaps watching all the seasons that used the old 4:3 aspect ratio, before going widescreen, or at least watching all the seasons up until the first South Park movie.
I don't particularly want to watch all of it up to the current season, because I absolutely dislike watching shows that are still ongoing, which is a main reason why I've never watched Pokemon entirely, only just now finding a good stopping point with the end of Ash's journey.

I think it's pretty consistently good from seasons 1-14. From seasons 15-19 it declines a bit but it's still decent, then seasons 20 and 21 are definitely the shows dark age, those seasons flat-out suck mostly. After those, it bounced back a bit but it's still not at its peak anymore. So, maybe stop at S14 if you have time to go that far.

I was looking up on this via Google. It seems there was a point where the humor in the show shifted from being mostly toilet humor, and started being critical of social events and making fun of those. I have read that this occurs at around Season 7. I don't know how true that is, but humor that covers social events ultimately "dates" the humor and jokes. So I suppose I'd be looking for that same stopping point, before the show made itself aware of real world events and prodded them for fun. In which case, is Season 7 the place to stop?

Starting at season 8, a new voice actress was brought in to replace the previous one after a pay dispute. So I suppose that's a fair stopping point, even if IMO the next few seasons are still great.

Sounds good to me then. I'll watch it up to the end of Season 7.
I've also read that the show has become a bit too reliant on bringing in new characters for jokes and gags instead of utilizing the main cast of characters more effectively, and the main characters themselves aren't explored as much as they deserve to be. Again, don't know how true that is, just stuff I've read from those who do watch it.
