Whelp, I just went down the Twitter hole about Michelle Jones being a piss poor Mary Jane adaptation and how she deserves better......
Never knew that wanting a better adaptation than a damsel-in-distress from over 20 years ago means I'm an ugly racist bigot that hates black queens.

Lol it's not racist to want a character more faithful to comics. It would be the same even if "Michelle" was white. Or any character regardless of color. The fact that someone had to bring up racism proves that it is they who are racist and have no valuable counter arguments to your points.

Yeah, I don't care if Mary Jane is black. That's not the issue. The whole point of Mary Jane is that she is like basically an alpha female for Peter to fill in that empty whole after the death of Gwen. I'm sure that some of us are like fuck it after so many break ups, and just be around someone fun. Which they totally ignored with Michelle. Michelle is more like Gwen, if anything.
