Phil Lord and Christopher Miller talk about these Spider-Verse movies like they are the directors or something. Kinda like how people think Tim Burton directed The Nightmare Before Christmas, which I believe he did, but he is not credit as a director. Same KINDA happened with Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio. There is a no name "co-director" involved as well. I think directing animation doesn't require the storyteller to be in studio all the time. They are like, this is the story we want you to tell, now animate it.

http://instagram.com/p/C5Lj3-dronO Yeah I think I thought about this the other day. Dragon Ball and Marvel in general kinda do have similar mythos. From going on being about a boy being raised by his martial arts "grandfather", to getting into wacky cosmic, dimensions, and multiverse shenanigans. Which is why the "Z" was later added in the title because Dragon Ball became tonely completely different than what it originally was suppose to be at that point.
