The housing market is going to crash again. Housing bubble 2.0? Regional housing markets are beginning to look like they did in 2007 Fast-forward to today, where the U.S. housing market is once again going through a historic housing boom. Over the past two years, U.S. home prices are up 34.4%—including a 19.8% jump over the past 12 months. That 12-month hike is more than four times greater than the historic annual average (4.6%) posted since 1987. It's also well above the largest 12-month price jump (14.7%) posted in the years leading up to the 2008 financial crisis. Our ongoing housing boom has more economists pondering the most feared word in real estate: “bubble.” In March researchers at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas sent chills down the spines of homebuilders and real estate agents when they released a paper titled "Real-time market monitoring finds signs of brewing U.S. housing bubble." The Dallas Fed researchers found home prices were becoming detached from economic fundamentals (i.e., household incomes). However, if a housing correction does come to pass, the Dallas Fed researchers don't think it would cause macroeconomic issues like we saw from the last bubble. Unlike the last go-around, they write, "household balance sheets [today] appear in better shape, and excessive borrowing doesn’t appear to be fueling the housing market boom." That said, some regional housing markets could be in full-blown housing bubbles. At the very least, many markets are priced exorbitantly compared to what local income levels can support. That's what Fortune found after looking at an analysis by the Real Estate Initiative at Florida Atlantic University. Each month, researchers at the university calculate how overpriced or underpriced home prices are in America's 100 largest housing markets. fortune.com/2022/05/09/housing-bubble-watch-housing-markets-are-beginning-to-look-like-they-did-in-2007/Feel like talking about taxes, but I don't know. Don't mind paying the government, I just don't like a gun pointed at my head doing so is all.

That looks weak as hell. I can see it falling apart in strong winds. Aside from being crappier trailer, There's just something about it that screams dystopia.

We kinda discussed this over at the mental health forums awhile back. About, you know, we kinda have to live with multiple people (like friends or family) under the same roof and make that the norm again, due to the economy. Or, live in a boarding house, which I rarely see nowadays. I know they still exist, but usually common in education, group homes, etc.

Only downside to that is the inheritance tax, which is a god awful thing.

Only downside to that is the inheritance tax, which is a god awful thing. Rather not get into taxes right now, for personal reasons. I just feel like I'm going to get screwed over somehow at some point. But yeah, varies from state to state, country to country. Like one of my friends had to pay $2000 in taxes and doesn't know why. He always pays his taxes on time. Not sure if he paid it fully yet since he HATES talking about it. ANYWAY, I'm open for roommates or finding a partner. Depending on the people anyway. The last person that rented one of my rooms in the back, lets just say she wasn't exactly one of the most brightest people you'll ever meet. Knew it was a bad idea from day one. Personally, I blame my father, who would later admit that I was 100% right all along. As for family, that ship has long sailed. We are somewhat kinda apart now, due to the family expanding greatly and me staying more private since I don't like gossip around me. Not to mention, I'm too old for some of my family members to boss me around. Which is one of the reasons why my sister's sons are starting to leave her home earlier. No, but my sister is nice. Just me and her sons are not little kids anymore. But I will always have extra rooms in case one of my friends or family members need a place to stay.
