I just don't have much of a filter for these things. It's not even a way of coping with loss, my brain just finds the funny side of things regardless. Oh well. Can't hold it in forever. Guess I'll just have to report myself to myself.

For me, I use humor in serious situations, but I don't do it intentionally, though. I don't see myself as funny nor is it a way to cope with things either. Think I get it from my mom side of the family. Her side of the family seems to have a funny bone, even though I don't try to be funny at all. Just comes out.

I do it in any/all situations. I always see the irony or a funny connection or something that I'll just instantly say or point out without any filter or care for consequence. But it's done in humor so people go easier on me.
