I have less than zero interest in this.

I can't get excited either.

I don't know what to feel. I like Madame Web in the 90s Spider-Man animated show, but she is not a character that can carry her own movie (which is why she always gets Spider-Man to do the job for her). Sure, they will probably make changes so she can adapt on film, but at that point it won't be the same Madame Web that I know. So why should I get excited.

It's not like I hate Sony. I love my ps5 and thought Spiderverse was amazing. The rest of their stuff though...

Julia was Madame Web on the Ultimate Spider-man Animated series.

These Sony movies are like the generic store brand that says it's the same thing, but it's not.

I just don't understand Sony's logic. They are using the same mentally that studios had back in the late 90s and early 2000s with these superhero movies. Also another thing that Sony doesn't seem to get is there is a difference between the MCU and Spider-Man universe. MCU is multiple superhero franchises combined into one. The Spider-Man franchise is just one franchise, which is Spider-Man of course. So Sony is really reaching down the bottom of the barrel with what they have.

Feige makes it look easy. If it were, they'd all be doing it.

We got to keep in mind though, Feige had to go through dozens of failures in order to get where he is at now.

Very few of those in the picture would be counted as failures. Elektra, Hulk, maybe The only successful ones I see Sony-Man and Fox-Men. MAYBE Blade, but Blade's impact didn't do much for the genre.

You're Cyberholing. Both FFS were very successful at the BO. Daredevil and Ghost Rider both were profitable.

In this era... Only outright failures are Punisher, F4 (least with Rise Of Silver Surfer), and X-Men........so yeah that is a lot actually. Hulk 2003 is madly underrated.

Rise of the Silver Surfer made more than $300m. It wasn't as successful as the first one, but definitely not a failure.
