A prominent choice when it comes to anime. Which do you prefer?

I personally prefer dubs, because I love the artistry of anime and I can't really give it the full attention when I have to keep reading text at the bottom of the screen taking the focus away from the animation.
Although there are certain shows/films that don't have any dub and may never get one so I do sometimes risk watching Sub. I did that for the japanese Spider-Man TV Show (although that wasn't animated).

It depends. Like, early 90s Dragon Ball Z episodes had bad dubbing. It's so bad they had to redub it in English multiple times. So now I just watch it subbed. But I do watch Cowboy Bebop in dub, though.

Yeah I watched Cowboy Bebop in dub, it was nice. Some animes have troubled histories with dubbing. For example the anime Slam Dunk, it was dubbed for the first 14 episodes then shit happened and the rest wasn't dubbed, until new voice actors came along and dubbed up to episode 85, but there's still no dub for the remaining final episodes.
That anime could really use a complete fresh dub. Then there are animes I really want to see but they've got no dub so I'm hesitant, such as Urusei Yatsura (old one) and Kimagure Orange Road. It'd be awesome if a company came along that made it a job to dub old animes that either had a troubled dub or no dub at all. Viz did it for Sailor Moon which I am thankful for but there's so many more that could be done.

Yeah I always wanted to see Dr. Slump (Dragon Ball's sister series), but there is no dub as far as I know. The Dr. Slump characters are dubbed in the Dragon Ball, but not in their own series which is kinda odd. But oh well, at least the manga are tranlated to English.

Depends on what mod I'm when it comes to this. As I'm selling to go with either.

I'd give anything for the dub for Initial D to be finished. It's still got a few undubbed seasons & movies.

So I watched for the first time the 1986 Super Mario anime movie/OVA, the one about rescuing princess peach. Holy crap the dub for that is absolutely awful. Not to mention the version of it I watched had the audio completely out of sync with the video.
Poor voice acting, the theme song sounded like they just got some depressed japanese dude that could speak english to kareoke the song. The story was okay, the animation was okay, and I didn't mind the use of the actual video game music as part of the soundtrack, even though they cut off the music abruptly instead of having a professional fade out.
Needless to say it is the first instance where I might have to honestly say that SUB might be better for it, or at least finding alternative fan-made dubs, which the movie is ripe for.

I've seen enough footage of the Super Mario OVA. I don't remember much, but I do remember it being bad.

I don't recommend the official dub for it. The movie is just over 1 hour long, felt like a lifetime to get through because of the poor dubbing.
I think even AI could generate a better dub for it, and I'm not being sarcastic or making a joke with that.

Subtitles. I always prefer the original language.
