I've been reading Marvel and DC for most of my life, but in the last few years, due to a lot of reasons, I've walked away from the big two. Most of the comics from them I do pick up, is older comics and trades of older comics. I do still read new comics, there just small press, creator owned stuff.
There's this really good book out called Crimson Cage. It mixes wrestling with horror by setting McBeath in the days of regional territories days of pro wresting.

Another good comic I've been reading is Red Room.  It dose what it says on the cover and is masterfully drawn by Ed Piskor. Highly recommend, if you have a strong stomach. |

Never really cared about super hero stuff, but I've always enjoyed comics like Lucky Luke, Blueberry, Jeremiah, Robocop, Conan the Barbarian, Axa, The Last Zombie, The Walking Dead, Crossed, Stitched, Ferals, Lone Wolf and Cub, Path of the the Assassin, Vagabond, Shogun Assassin, Asterix, Tintin, Spirou, Punisher etc.

After reading "Punisher MAX Presents: Barracuda", I'm convinced that Ennis wrote these comics as slight satire of edgy comics.
